Aqua Dive Services has been serving clients primarily in the Puget Sound region for more than 25 years. We are based out of Seattle, so we are only a short drive (via truck or vessel) to many of our clients located on Lake Union, Portage Bay, Lake Washington, Puget Sound and in local waterways. Our dive teams have also worked on projects in Louisiana, Alaska, California, Oregon, Florida and abroad. We can quickly mobilize a team (within 24 hrs) to work anywhere in the world.
We believe in supporting small business and participating in our community. Whenever possible, we purchase our supplies and equipment from our neighbors. In addition, we emphasize making wise environmental choices and recognize the value of being good stewards of our resources for future generations. We do this by encouraging our clients to select eco-friendly products, regularly cleaning waste/debris out of our local waterways, and recycling any unused materials.
Aqua Dive Services only hires commercially certified divers. This means that our divers have graduated from accredited commercial dive schools, for example the Diver’s Institute of Technology in Seattle, Commercial Divers International in Arizona or the US Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center. For larger or more complex projects, our divers utilize a hard-hat, surface-supplied air delivery system. For smaller projects, we utilize a SCUBA system (Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus). Because our divers are commercially trained, they know which system will be appropriate to best serve your needs.
For many projects, Aqua Dive Services utilizes a hard-hat, surface-supplied air delivery system (with an air compressor). With this type of system, a diver can work underwater for a longer submerged duration and camera/communications systems can be utilized for safety and oversight. This system has redundant air supply systems for safety and a diver has greater control over environmental factors such as temperature, current, and visibility.
For other projects, Aqua Dive Services implements a SCUBA system, which consists of air tanks on the divers back. A SCUBA system is easily portable and requires minimal equipment, thus enabling a quick dispatch. With SCUBA, divers have more mobility, flexibility & maneuverability underwater.
